Anthony Ndzabandzaba

Principal Partner

BA Law (Unisa) LLB (Natal/ University of Victoria) and LLM (Wits)

The firm was founded by Anthony Ndzabandzaba (Ndzabandzaba). Ndzabandzaba has over 12 years of legal experience having been a partner and a director in a number of legal practices. Ndzabandzaba has successfully appeared in a number of Courts including the Supreme Court of Appeal. Ndzabandzaba has led high profile cases and investigations, prosecution as well as litigation and settlement of cases in different areas of legal practice with a net worth of over R300 m. While in the employ of the Competition Commission of South Africa, Ndzabandzaba served as head of training and development in the cartels division for a number of years. Ndzabandzaba has also written academic papers in the area of Competition law.

Ndzabandzaba has recently acted for institutions such as the Competition Commission of South Africa in well documented cases. Ndzabandzaba has provided training as an expert in the area of Competition Law to institutions as far afield as the Seychelles. Ndzabandzaba also has a history as a lecturer in institutions such as the University of the Witwatersrand where he lectured in the area of intellectual property Law. Ndzabandzaba holds a BA Law (Uniswa) LLB (Natal/ University of Victoria) and LLM (Wits). Ndzabandzaba is currently in his second year of MBA studies with the University of Reading, Henley Business School.

Justice Msawenkosi Phetha

DIRECTOR

LLB (University of Kwazulu Natal)

Justice completed his LLB degree and  he was admitted as an attorney at the Natal Provincial Division of High Court in 2002. He is currently employed by a private company in an employee relations executive role and also serves as a Director at Ndzabandzaba Attorneys Inc.

He completed his articles with Shepstone & Wylie Attorneys in Durban and has been specialising in all aspects of employment law since his admission as an attorney. He has worked for South African Breweries, Bowman Gilfillan, Farrell & Associates and Shepstone and Wylie attorneys.

Justice has managed and led companies in a number of high profile labour unrests, exercising his expertise in industrial relations.

Osborne Molatudi

DIRECTOR

LLB (University of Kwazulu Natal)

With over 20 years of post-articles’ experience and combined experience in legal practice and human resources, Osborne provides a solid leadership foundation for the team at Ndzabandzaba Attorneys and offers mentorship to our team of young professionals in the practice. 

Osborne completed his articles with Deneys Reitz Attorneys, Durban in 1998. He was admitted as an attorney in the same year. With his wealth of experience in employment and labour law, Osborne offers a practical, client centric approach to solving complex business challenges. He has served as a partner in a number of firms within South Africa – including Cowen Harper, and Hogan Lovell’s. Osborne’s legal and strategic management skills will be used to address internal workplace challenges faced by corporate clients across the board.

 

Nontuthuko Radebe

Associate Attorney

LLB University of KwaZulu Natal

Nontuthuko graduated with an LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu Natal. She completed her articles of clerkship at Ndzabandzaba Attorneys Inc. During the period of her articles she has gained experience in Constitutional Court, Competition Appeal Court High Court and Competition Tribunal litigation. She has conducted settlement procedures, civil litigation and practice in the Competition Tribunal and Competition Appeal Court.

Musa Nombaca

Associate Attorney

LLB University of Witwatersrand

Musa initially joined Ndzabandzaba Attorneys Inc as an Associate Attorney in 2016 and was appointed as a Senior Associate Attorney in 2017. She holds an LLB Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Her articles of clerkship were completed with N.T. Mdlalose Incorporated, a firm which assisted a large number of persons from previously disadvantaged backgrounds with third party claims against the Road Accident Fund and the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa. She has broad experience in High Court civil litigation and procedure, specifically in matters pertaining to contractual and personal injury claims. She has appeared in civil, criminal, and in-camera family law matters in magistrates’ courts across Gauteng. She has represented clients in labour law matters at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry (NBCRFLI). She is currently responsible for assisting the Competition Commission of South Africa in an advisory capacity including the preparation of legal documents, litigation and the finalization of Competition Law cases with a particular focus on Prohibited Practices in various forums which include the High Court of South Africa, the Competition Tribunal, the Competition Appeal Court and the Constitutional Court. She oversees the litigation department of the firm.

Wilson Mlanduli

Associate Attorney

LLB University of Zululand

Wilson holds an LLB degree from the University of Zululand. He has special interest in Competition Law. He has gained experience in the Competition Appeal Court, High Court and Competition Tribunal. He has also gained extensive knowledge in disciplinary hearings held at the South African Council for the Architectural Profession.

Fundile

OFFICE MANAGER

BCom Honours (UNISA)

The firm’s Office Manager is Fundile Ndzimandze and she holds a BCom Honours degree from the University of South Africa. With her outstanding management and organizational skills, she oversees the firm’s operations and makes sure the firm runs smoothly.

Karabo Mabelane

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

LLB (Cum Laude) (University of Limpopo)

Karabo is an LLB (Cum Laude) graduate from the University of Limpopo. She joined the South African Revenue Service (“SARS”) as a graduate trainee, where she gained experience in Alternative Dispute resolution, Tax litigation and Customs litigation. During her time at SARS she had an opportunity to assist with the litigation of matters at the Tax Court, High Court and Supreme Court of Appeal. She also undertook and successfully completed the tax education programme offered by the SARS Academy. 

Karabo is currently working on competition and general civil litigation. She is involved in the litigation of matters at the Competition Tribunal of South Africa, the High Court, the Competition Appeal Court and the Constitutional Court.

Harris

FINANCE MANAGER

University of Johannesburg

Harris carries over 9 years of extensive experience in the financial sector with specialisation in Auditing, Accounting, Tax and Financial Consulting. He graduated from University of Johannesburg, with membership in the Golden Key Society. Harris went on to successfully complete his SAICA articles. He later completed post graduates in both Accounting and Taxation at University of South Africa. Harris is also a Registered Tax Practitioner and is using his combined expertise to serve in the capacity of firm accountant.

Sihle Mdludla

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

LLB (University of Zululand)

Sihle holds an LLB from the University of Zululand. After completing his degree, he joined the Competition Commission’s legal services department where he was exposed to mergers and the prosecution of cartels. Among some notable transactions, Sihle was part of the team that assessed the AB InBev and SAB merger. 

Sihle later joined a commercial law firm in Pretoria to complete his articles. During his period of articles, he was attached to the commercial and labour law department where he developed his research capacity. Sihle has established himself as a keen litigator having litigated a matter that produced a seminal judgment in the field of labour law.

At Ndzabandzaba Attorneys, Sihle is attached to the commercial and labour law department where he litigates and advises on complex transactions. Sihle has published various articles in his fields of expertise.
